How was your Christmas? We always have a low-key Christmas here, just me, Boris and my parents. I cook the turkey on Christmas Eve and we open presents then too. I gave my Mom a beaded Edwardian dress and some Victorian baby shoes, and I gave my Dad a bunch of 1950s Hot Rod magazines and stuff to clean his cars, along with new stuff for both of them. I bought about 90% of my Christmas presents online this year.For myself, I picked up this Boudoir Doll in the antique shop when we bought my kitchen table set (I haven't gotten very far painting the kitchen set with Christmas busyness and being sick for several days) The doll's face has been repainted by someone, and they did a pretty good job. I'm going to give her new hair and make some clothing for her.

Wow, that cigarette stand is amazing! They are pretty hard to find with all the parts, and the fact that it has a lamp too - huge score!
I have a stand that isn't a lamp, though it has a light in the base that needs re-wired. It doesn't have any of the accessories though, so I put a couple of Hazel Atlas glass ashtrays in it and use it that way. ;)
Pretty doll, I can't wait to see what you do with her.
AHHHH, as a jadeite lover and a self-described vintage lamp addict I am drooling on my keyboard over that lamp... (making it a tad hard to type, really). What a find that was! (And it would look so good in my spare room, too...)
I just feel good knowing that sort of thing is out there waiting to be uncovered.
