Oh the dreaded horror of doing inventory at the end of each year.
Last week I updated my website inventory and that went very smoothly. Last night I started separating my paperwork for taxes (what is going on? I am preparing way ahead of time this year) Everything is in piles, but I haven't gone through any of the papers yet.
This morning I faced the horror of counting my backstock. Backstock is the items that haven't been put up for sale on the website yet. These things have already been washed and sorted into boxes. So I walk in and see these piles of boxes this morning. This is alot more backstock than I usually have, so I wasn't looking forward to counting.
But so far I've done all the lingerie (414 slips, how did I end up with so many slips!) and this nightmare pile of boxes isn't looking so bad now. I condensed some of the boxes and neatened up the piles. I still have dresses, skirts, tops, purses, hats and several mish-mosh boxes to count. Mish-mosh boxes are a pain, so I'll probably do those last. But I'm happy with my progress so far.
